Community First Credit Union (Community First) and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre have partnered to present a free summer movie series in St. Johns County. The family friendly “Community First Night Owl Cinema Series” will stretch over the summer months.

St. Augustine Amphitheatre General Manager Ryan Murphy applauds the partnership, noting Community First’s benevolent presence in North Florida. “Community First Credit Union and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre share similar core values and missions in our desire to create positive impact and growth in the community. We are proud to partner with them to present a free entertainment alternative for families in and around St. Johns County.”

Community First Night Owl Cinema will be held monthly May through August on Fridays at 8 p.m. Parking at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre is free on movie nights and a variety of concessions will be available for purchase. Moviegoers at each screening will enjoy special family friendly entertainment and activities inspired by the featured movie’s theme. Children of all ages are welcome to come dressed in character.

Wreck-It Ralph longs to be as beloved as his game's perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix. Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes... so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun, Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan -- win a medal -- but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph's only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz, a young troublemaking "glitch" from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it's "Game Over" for the entire arcade?

The inaugural national Galaxy Fitness Championships & Health Expo will be held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 25th, 2013. This event is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee and developed locally by Gene Schlossberg and District NPC Chairman, Pete Fancher of Melbourne. The Galaxy, open to athletes nationwide, will consist of competitive open divisions in Figure, Bikini, Physique & Body Building and including 30, 40 & 50 year old categories. The MC for this event will be the internationally recognized stand-up comedian Tim Wilkins.  Held concurrently on the Amphitheater grounds will be the Galaxy Health & Fitness Expo featuring dozens of exhibitors and vendors presenting the most cutting edge health products. This expo will be free and open to the public.

Steve Martin is currently in the fifth decade of a uniquely varied and accomplished career in which he's excelled as a comedian, actor, author and playwright, and as a Grammy-winning, boundary-pushing bluegrass banjoist and composer.  His fellow Texas native Edie Brickell initially burst onto the national scene in the late 1980s fronting the New Bohemians, and has since carved out an iconoclastic solo career that's solidified her reputation as a uniquely compelling singer and a songwriter of rare insight.

Produced by studio legend Peter Asher (James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Linda Ronstadt) “Love Has Come For You” features notable players including rising-star bassist Esperanza Spalding, veteran studio guitarist Waddy Wachtel and Nickel Creek alumni Sara and Sean Watkins.  The album also features the esteemed bluegrass combo the Steep Canyon Rangers with whom Martin recorded his latest Grammy® nominated album Rare Bird Alert with and has toured extensively.

Following the success of the 2011/2012 world tour celebrating the 35th Anniversary of his multi-platinum selling live album Frampton Comes Alive!, including a stop at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Peter Frampton is back on the road with Frampton’s Guitar Circus. The tour will feature the Grammy-winning musician performing with friends, celebrated guitarists, and other special guests (to be announced). Kicking off in May, Frampton will perform several dates with five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Cray including Nashville, New York City and Austin. Each night, Frampton’s set will be recorded and subsequently sold in digital format.

It was announced that Kendrick Lamar, the acclaimed Top Dawg Entertainment artist, is taking his gold, #1 R&B/Hip-Hop good kid, m.A.A.d city album on the road across America and around the globe with the good kid, m.A.A.d city World Tour.  Hot on the heels of his 30+ performance Verge Campus Tour which kicked off March 29 and runs through mid-May, the good kid, m.A.A.d city World Tour launches May 21st and spans 16 U.S. dates from coast to coast plus 30 festivals in more than a dozen European countries and Japan.  Accompanying Lamar on all of the good kid, m.A.A.d city World Tour U.S. dates will be ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock.

Lamar’s debut major label album, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Top Dawg Entertainment/Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope), released October 22, 2012, debuted at #1 on both the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums charts and #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Earth, Wind and Fire has been hailed as one of the most successful groups in the 20th century with a sound that spans musical divides and genres. Earth, Wind and Fire started a revolution with their mix of R&B and jazz in the 1970s and they haven't looked back since. Maurice White is credited as the band's founding member but other members have included Philip Bailey, Verdine White, Ralph Johnson, Larry Dunn and Al McKay.

As a group, Earth, Wind and Fire have received 20 Grammy nominations, including two group wins. Maurice and Bailey have both also won solo awards during this time. The group has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame and has its very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
