Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the country and there’s no doubt that it is the most impressive of all the historical landmarks in St. Augustine. Thousands of visitors flock here to see this unique structure and learn about its colorful history.
Fort Matanzas

Built of coquina by the Spanish from 1740-42 to protect the southern approach to St. Augustine, Fort Matanzas was proclaimed a national monument in 1924, along with its sister structure, the Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine. Nine years later, both were turned over to the National Park Service.
Lightner Museum

The Lightner is a museum that is entertaining, educational and enriching. Housed in the former Alcazar Hotel built by Henry Flagler in 1888, the museum building itself is a fascinating gem to tour. Some of the hotel’s amenities seem amazing for its time. The hotel boasted a steam room, massage parlor, gymnasium and sulfur baths, as well as the famous indoor swimming pool, the world’s largest.

The Fountain of Youth Archeological Park is a 15 acre, Historical attraction in St. Augustine, Florida. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Over the last 100 years, thousands of guests have visited in order to sip the world famous waters and hear the history behind its legendary benefits. Of course while you’re here, you may also visit our Discovery Globe, Navigator’s Planetarium, Indian Burial Grounds, and Shipwreck Exhibit.
